COVID-19 Safe Plan

We understand that most, if not all of our delegates work in the health sector, and so we are committed to ensuring a safe environment for everyone attending the ASA2022 Melbourne Conference.

In line with current Victorian Government COVID-19 recommendations, we will be taking the following actions:

  • Density limits will be in place for workshops to allow for social distancing,

  • Hand sanitiser containing at least 60% alcohol will be available throughout the venue,

  • Face masks are not compulsory, however are recommended and will be available for those who request one at the Registration Desk

It is strongly recommended that all delegates attending the conference in-person are double vaccinated, however it is no longer a requirement to show your proof of vaccination upon entry.

The MCEC has developed a venue specific COVIDSafe plan that we will be diligently following in order to protect all our delegates and minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission. This includes:

  • VenueSafe Advisors and COVID Marshalls

  • Increased sanitation and cleaning

  • Physical distancing

  • All MCEC employees trained on COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols

We don’t want any delegate to miss out on attending ASA2022 Melbourne. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms and/or test positive for COVID-19, please contact member services at memberservices@sonographers.org  or
