Endometriosis KISS (Keep It Simple Sonographers) **NEW VOICE**
9:30 AM - 10:15 AMPresentation Synopsis / Abstract
Wanting to scan for endometriosis but feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of the examination? Or just not sure where to start or how you will fit this into your busy lists? Then this is the workshop for you!
In this practical, hands-on scanning workshop, we bring the simplified endometriosis ultrasound protocol (1) to life. Designed for general sonographers, this protocol streamlines the key elements needed to assess for deep endometriosis to make a complex examination simpler, without a large trade off in detection of disease. Starting with a discussion of the key elements of the simplified eTVUS protocol, and the evidence behind it, this workshop will then consolidate it through a live demonstration. We’ll focus on core components including the uterus and ovaries assessment, sliding sign and a basic assessment of the posterior compartment. Attendees will leave with improved scanning confidence, a clearer understanding of what to document, and strategies to incorporate this protocol into daily practice—even on a tight appointment schedule.
Objectives:
• Introduce the simplified protocol for endometriosis ultrasound
• Demonstrate the protocol (uterus, ovaries, sliding sign and basic posterior compartment assessment)
• Discuss tips for documentation, time management, and protocol integration into routine scanning
