The business of radiology: Offering insights into strategy, leadership, and sustainable practice management for both clinical and aspiring executive sonographers
3:50 PM - 4:10 PMPresentation Synopsis / Abstract
Radiology is undergoing rapid transformation, presenting new opportunities for sonographers to influence not only clinical outcomes but also the strategic, operational, and cultural direction of imaging services. This presentation explores the business of radiology through a dual lens: the clinical foundations that underpin high-quality patient care, and the leadership and strategic capabilities required to sustain a modern imaging enterprise.
Delegates will gain insights into how clinical workflows integrate with scheduling, modality optimisation, reporting efficiency, and patient experience, as well as how workforce development, digital innovation, and value-based care models are reshaping the sector. Through real-world examples and practical frameworks, the session encourages sonographers to reimagine their potential as educators, innovators, and emerging leaders contributing beyond the scan room and into the broader strategy of their organisations.
Designed for clinical and aspiring executive sonographers, this session aims to inspire, educate, and empower advancing a profession that is both clinically excellent and future-ready.
