Into the turbulence: A practical guide to AV fistula ultrasound
2:40 PM - 3:20 PMPresentation Synopsis / Abstract
Arteriovenous fistulae (AVF) are the preferred vascular access for haemodialysis, yet their primary patency rate at one year is just 50%. Maintaining access for dialysis in these patients relies heavily on accurate assessment and ongoing surveillance with ultrasound. This interactive workshop will bridge clinical assessment with practical scanning techniques, providing participants with a structured approach to AVF evaluation and improved confidence in performing and interpreting fistula ultrasound studies.
