What are the dates for the conference this year?

The ASA2025 Conference will run from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June 2025, at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

When does Earlybird registration close?

Earlybird registration will close in early April 2025.

What time does each conference day start?

Friday 13 June
10.00am – 5.00pm | Opening plenary, lecture presentations and workshops*
5.00pm – 7.00pm | Welcome Reception 

Saturday 14 June
8.45am – 5.15pm | Lecture presentations and workshops*
6.45pm – 11.30pm | ASA Gala Dinner, including Awards of Excellence, ASA Fellowships and Pru Pratten Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony

Sunday 15 June
9.00 am–1.30 pm | Lecture presentations, workshops and masterclasses* and closing plenary, including prize announcements

*Workshops and masterclasses are only available to delegates attending in person.

How many CPD points are available to me for attending the conference? 

In-person (3 day): 15.5 points 

Virtual (3 Day): 15.5 points 

One day (Friday) in-person: 5.5 points 

One day (Saturday) in-person: 6.5 points 

One day (Sunday) in-person: 3.5 points

Please note: Social functions are not included with one day registrations. You may purchase social function tickets by selecting it as an add-on before completing your registration.
For 2-day attendance, it is best to choose the full 3-day registration, which includes social events and recordings.

When will CPD points be logged?

CPD points will be logged within a month after conference (ASA Members access via Member portal.) Non-members will receive an email to their registered email address. 

When can I book my workshops? 

In response to your valuable feedback, this year there will be no need to book your workshops. Sessions are now first come, first served so make sure to plan ahead and be first in line for the workshops that you don't want to miss. 

When can I book my masterclass?

Masterclass bookings will become available in early April, after our Earlybird offer closes. Masterclasses are limited to in-person delegates only. 

When is the last day to register?

The final day to register in person will be Friday 20 May, 2024. 

I am a student, can I register for the conference with Student Member pricing?

Yes. In order to be eligible for the student price, you must become an ASA member before registering for the conference.  ASA Student membership is FREE, join now HERE.

Will sessions be recorded?

Yes, all live lecture presentations from Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be recorded and will be available exclusively to conference registrants to view from early June for at least three months. If you have a 1-day in person registration you will only be able to access recordings for the day you have registered.

How long will the recordings be available post conference?

The online content will be available for 3 months after the conference. 

Do I have to watch the online sessions live to claim the CPD points?

No, you do not need to watch it live. However, your CPD points will not be uploaded until you have watched. 

Can I cancel my registration?

Registration may be cancelled by written notice to memberservices@sonographers.org no later than 21 days prior to the commencement of the Conference. Cancellations received on or before 23 May 2025 will be entitled to a full refund. Cancellations received after 23 May 2025 will not be eligible for a refund (except in exceptional circumstances as determined by ASA in its complete discretion). 

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes, you can transfer your registration if you are no longer able to attend the conference. You will need to send this through in writing to memberservices@sonographers.org no less than five business days prior to the conference.

Can I pay on the day?

No, payment will need to be made prior to the conference and there will be no registrations on the day. 

Where will the registration desk be located?

The registration desk is located in the foyer of MCEC.

Hours of attendance are:

Friday 13 June | 8.30am – 5.00pm

Saturday 24 June | 8.15am – 5.30pm

Sunday 15 June | 8.30am – 1.00pm

There will also be self-check-in kiosks for delegates to collect their name badges.

Is there car parking available?

Wilson Parking offers flexible rates and secure underground parking at the Exhibition Centre. It also has accessible parking with lift access up to Door 1, 6 and 10 in the Exhibition Centre.
