What are the dates for the conference this year?

The ASA2024 Conference will run from Friday 31st May to Sunday 2nd June, 2024, at ICC Sydney: International Convention & Exhibition Centre. 

When does Earlybird registration close?

Earlybird registration closes at 11:59pm, Tuesday 2 April, 2024.

What time does each conference day start?

Friday 31 May

Saturday 1 June

Sunday 2 June
9.00 am–1.30 pm | Lecture presentations, workshops* and closing plenary, including prize announcements

*Workshops are only available to delegates attending in person.

How many CPD points are available to me for attending the conference? 

Depending on your registration type, you could be eligible for up to 17.5 CPD points, with the introduction of the Virtual Lounge recordings. 

In-person (3 day): 17.5 points 

Remote (2 Day): 14 points 

One day (Friday) in-person: 5.5 points 

One day (Saturday) in-person: 6.5 points 

One day (Sunday) in-person: 3.5 points 

What is the Virtual Lounge?

This year we received an overwhelming number of abstract submissions, too many to fit into our 3 day program. To make room for all of these incredible presentations we have created the Virtual Lounge. Pre-recorded presentations will be available to view online from Thursday 30th May and will be accessible for the 3 months post-conference. 

When will CPD points be logged?

CPD points will be logged within a month after conference (ASA Members access via Member portal.) Non members will receive an email to their registered email address. 

When can I book my workshops? 

In response to your valuable feedback, this year there will be no need to book your workshops. Sessions are now first come, first served so make sure to plan ahead and be first in line for the workshops that you don't want to miss. 

When can I book my masterclass?

Masterclass bookings will become available in early April, after our Earlybird offer closes. Masterclasses are limited to in-person delegates only. 

When is the last day to register?

The final day to register for in person will be Friday 17 May, 2024. 

I am a student, can I register for the conference with Student Member pricing?

Yes. In order to be eligible for the student price, you must become an ASA member before registering for the conference.  ASA Student membership is FREE, join now HERE.

Will sessions be recorded?

Yes, all live presentations from Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June will be recorded and will be available exclusively to conference registrants to view from early June for at least three months.

How long will the recordings be available post conference?

The online content will be available for 3 months after the conference. 

Do I have to watch the online sessions live to claim the CPD points?

No, you do not need to watch it live. However, your CPD points will not be uploaded until you have watched. 

Can I cancel my registration?

Registration may be cancelled by written notice to memberservices@sonographers.org no later than 21 days prior to the commencement of the Conference. Cancellations received on or before 10 May, 2024 will be entitled to a full refund. Cancellations received after 10 May, 2024 will not be eligible for a refund (except in exceptional circumstances as determined by ASA in its complete discretion). 

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes, you can transfer your registration if you are no longer able to attend the conference. You will need to send this through in writing to memberservices@sonographers.org no less than five business days prior to the conference.

Can I pay on the day?

No, payment will need to be made prior to the conference and there will be no registrations on the day. 

Where will the registration desk be located?

The registration desk is located in the foyer of ICC Sydney.

Hours of attendance are:

Thursday 25 May | 4.00pm–6.00pm 

Friday 26 May | 8.30am–5.30pm

Saturday 27 May | 8.30am–5.30pm

Sunday 28 May | 8.30am–2.00pm

There will also be self-check-in kiosks for delegates to collect their name badges.

Is there car parking available?

ICC Sydney has two car park facilities located within the Exhibition Centre and Aware Super Theatre, comprising a total of 826 car spaces.
