Abstract

Come along for a 20week anatomy workshop. Starting with a brief update on current expectations for the 20 week anatomy scan. Followed by some live scanning, concentrating on those more tricky areas to image, such as the fetal heart and brain. Rowena had greater than 15 years experience scanning in the Fetal Diagnostic Unit within Monash Health and 10 years experience of scanning for obstetricians within private clinics.

Biography

Mrs Rowena Findlay | Monash Health Rowena is a Senior Sonographer with Monash Health in Melbourne, she also works for two private women’s health imaging centres, Camberwell Imaging for Women and Specialist Imaging for Women. She scans tertiary obstetrics in the Fetal Diagnostic Unit and complex gynaecology cases on a regular basis. She has been working as a sonographer for over 15 years. During this time, she has worked within the public and private system, giving her a balanced perspective on many aspects of sonography. Previously she has presented a research project an ISUOG international conference, presented at ASA national and state meetings and has been published in ASA’s ‘sound effects’ and the annuals of vascular surgery. She is also currently a reviewer for the Sonography journal.
