This workshop will unravel carotid imaging from basic anatomy and technique to the more advanced level including recent advancements and nomenclature. At the advanced level, we will discuss the recently published Carotid Plaque-RADS (positives and concerns), plus more uncommon pathologies such as TIPIC.
Live scanning will be advantageous to junior sonographers as I will run through tips and tricks on how to perform a complete extracranial vessel ultrasound.

Queensland Vascular Diagnostics/Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital
Heath hails from Brisbane Queensland where he splits his clinical time between Queensland Vascular Diagnostics primarily and the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
He has presented at numerous local, national, and international events before and has a keen interest in optimizing patient symptomology with vascular ultrasound.
Heath is also a current member of the Vascular SIG
