Ultrasound of the bowel
Abstract
Bowel ultrasound has many distinct advantages over traditional imaging methods used for the gastrointestinal tract. However, it remains underutilized, partially due to lack of training and Sonographer experience. This workshop will cover a comprehensive protocol for examining the abdominal intestinal tract as well as practical methods for differentiating large and small bowel. Tips for locating key pieces of anatomy and the imaging features that can indicate pathology will also be discussed.
