The use of pedoff in Echocardiography

11:50 AM - 12:10 PM

Abstract

This presentation explores the Pedoff probe’s role in echocardiography, highlighting its importance for high-velocity flow assessment and regurgitant volumes. It covers the history, optimal echocardiographic windows, and case studies. It highlights the importance in multi-window CW Doppler approaches to improve the accuracy in diagnosing aortic stenosis, prosthetic valve dysfunction, and pulmonary hypertension. The talk also discusses advancements in AI-driven Doppler analysis and portable CW Doppler technology. Lastly, it will move into a live demonstration of Pedoff imaging, acquiring the signals accurately. This is designed for mid-to-senior sonographers, providing key insights into maximizing Pedoff probe efficiency for more precise, patient focused echocardiographic evaluations.
