Knowledge beyond the basics: A guide to second trimester fetal neurosonography **
8:45 AM - 9:25 AMAbstract
As in all aspects of ultrasound we wont find an abnormality if we aren’t looking for it! Fetal neurosonography is no different. For a long time we have used just axial images to perform basic measurements within the brain. This workshop explores the many structures that can be assessed routinely in the axial, sagittal and coronal planes. The fetal brain continues to develop throughout the 2nd and 3rd trimester and changes in the normal ultrasound appearance of these structures is an important skill for all obstetric sonographers. This workshop is suited to sonographers of intermediate level working in any environment(public, private or tertiary) who are keen to assess the fetal brain more thoroughly and more knowledgeably.
